Lessons for Adults:

Hill Top EC is a Specialist Dressage Teaching Facility.  We always aim to match the ability of horse and rider.  Our preference is to teach private ½ hour lessons for adults, as we believe this enables a rider to develop at their own pace within a calm learning environment.

Lessons are held throughout the day, into early evening and at weekends.

For the more experienced riders we have some advanced level horses, however we also have horses who are able to teach adult beginners and will start them off with 30 minute lessons on the lunge rein to encourage correct balance and a deep seat, which is essential for good and safe riding.

When riders have the appropriate experience and confidence, there are opportunities to sign up for our Cross Country & Show Jumping days, when we transport horses and riders to a local purpose built facility, where there is a chance to take your horse around the gallops (not for the faint hearted)!

Some hacking is available for our regular clients from March to October by arrangement, and subject to availability of suitable horses/ponies.

We have a bridle path adjacent to our land, and some of our animals are good in traffic and happy to hack out in the village.  However, we would point out that hacking is a very different experience to that of riding in the school, and to comply with Health & Safety rules, we must reserve the right to assess the suitability of the rider before signing them up for a hack.
